| In Case You Missed It: Sen. Scott Brown will address GOP in Fremont By the Lincoln Journal Star Sen. Scott Brown of Massachusetts will be the headline speaker at the Republican state convention in Fremont this month. The convention is scheduled for July 30-31 on the campus of Midland Lutheran College. Brown became an instant celebrity in the GOP last January when he won a special election in Massachusetts to fill the Senate seat vacated by the death of Democratic icon Ted Kennedy. That upset victory reduced the number of Democratic senators from a filibuster-proof 60 to 59. |
